Skem First Youth Superstar Awards 2020

We believe it’s REALLY important that we recognise the youth in our town that do incredible things.

We came up with a list of 7 VERY deserving young people that have been superb things for our town in 2020 and so we asked local businesses and community groups if they’d consider sponsoring a Cadbury’s Sweet Hamper for each of them.

Joel Morley was sponsored by Debbie Rowlands of Asia International Foods, based in the Concourse. Joel ran 80 miles throughout June to raise money for The Artz Centre, Birch Green. Joel raised £1425 and is a very worthy winner.

Rowan Sheridan was sponsored by Ron Cooper & Claire Cooper of Celebrate Skelmersdale. Rowan cut of her long hair and donated it to a Cancer charity raising over £600 in the process.

Logan Flaherty, was sponsored by E ROOMS for the amazing litter picks he’s been doing on Yewdale throughout the year with his dad Mike Flaherty.

Amara was sponsored by Mark Ainscough & Des Ainscough of D&M Deli, Concourse for her litter picks every week throughout the summer holidays.

Kenzie was sponsored by Andy Owen of Orns Thai Fusions. อรไทยฟูชั่นส์ for the amazing litter picks he’s done with Debbie Bond.

Ryan was sponsored by Peter Long & Lewis Newton of The CourtYard Cafe for the amazing litter picks he’s done with Debbie Bond.

Eva was sponsored by Francine Causer of Piggy’s Pantry for the amazing litter picks she did most weeks of the summer holidays.

We will always champion AMAZING work done by the youth of this town. We believe in encouraging them and empowering them as they grow and become our future leaders.
