Back in 2016 Grayson Perry visited Skelmersdale as part of his “All Man” documentary for Channel 4. That documentary left a sour taste in the mouth of many residents as it highlighted the worst of Skelmersdale but none of the best of it.
The result was the formation of the band Del Mundo. They wanted to show people the other side of Skelmersdale which included the best of what the town had to offer.
They set about releasing a song called “My Home Town” which was very much appreciated.
